National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct CSIR-UGC NET December 2025. This exam provides eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship / Assistant Professor for science subjects. Subjects include Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Earth/Atmospheric/Environmental Sciences.

Age Limit
- For JRF: Maximum age 30 years (age relaxation as per rules)
- No upper age limit for Lectureship / Assistant Professor
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree in relevant subject with minimum marks (55% for General, 50% for reserved categories).
- Final year students are also eligible to apply (subject to conditions).
- In certain subjects, candidates with a 4-year bachelor’s degree may be eligible (refer to information bulletin).
Exam Pattern
- Computer Based Test (CBT), duration: 3 hours
- Two shifts: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs); negative marking as per information bulletin
- Subjects: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Earth/Atmospheric/Environmental Sciences
Opportunities & Certificate
- Qualified candidates for JRF will receive fellowship for research.
- LS / Lectureship qualified candidates become eligible to teach at colleges / universities.
- Eligibility certificate will be issued online via NTA website.
